FAQs

How much does it cost?

The cost of each of our services is different. Our packages, made up of our services, therefore also vary in price. Put simply, the larger the budget the more services will be included in your bespoke package. We specialise in finding solutions for schools no matter the budget. For example if it’s Facebook Ads that you need, we can make that a part of the ongoing campaign, and therefore spread the cost of that service over several months - rather that a single campaign with a flat fee. It’s definitely worth having a conversation with us about your goals and we can discuss how best we can help, and how that solution can fit even the most modest budget.

How do we measure your success?

We measure our own success on how close we are to our targets and KPIs on the established ‘timeline’ of the project - which has been designed to achieve your goal upon completion.

When taking on a project we make sure that your goal is at the foundation of everything that we do (there’s no point us doing web development if your goal is to create a promotional video for your social media.)

We use the SMART goal methodology to help you define your goal (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely), and we regularly check and report on how aligned we are with that goal.

Where are you based?

We’re based in London and the South East of England but we work with Primaries, Secondaries, Colleges, Universities, MATs and other education businesses all over the UK.

Are you able to work in different countries?

Our team comprises the best people from around the world, and so many are bi/multi-lingual. We also love to travel. So, yes, we would relish the opportunity to work in different countries. We’re yet to find a country where our systems and processes do not work - we doubt we’ll find one!

Who has the copyright on the material once produced?

When we create media, for example a video, Company Ten Ltd. is the ‘first owner of copyright’. The copyright is usually then transferred, by agreement, to the client.

How long does it take to show results?

It’s very difficult to say how long it will take to start seeing results from our services, because each service has different ‘deliverables’ and different KPIs. With our Social Media Management Service, you’ll start to see changes in engagement, and activity almost immediately, after we start to deliver the right content in the right way. Other services may take longer to see the results. For example our Facebook Ads service, we have to create the content (usually video advert) and then create the advert (including all the 'back-end’ audience building etc.), then deliver it, and monitor the results. It won’t be long though, until you start to see engagement with the advert, and people’s interest in your school growing.

What is a ‘set-up month’?

When we begin to work with a school or a Trust, we’re as excited as you are to hit the ground running and start creating media, making changes, tightening this, developing that… but it is vital that we set up the foundations properly.

We spend the first month of any project making sure that our tools are sharp and in the right place. From social media permissions to cc details for ad spend, chains of command, reporting structures, contact details etc. - it’s imperative that for the project to be successful, we must diligently prepare for that success.

We have an in-house marketing person, but they are swamped with work. Do you offer a support package/service?

We do! Some schools will have a member of staff that is keen to do ‘a bit of marketing’, others are able to hire a marketing person. Our Consultancy package is perfect for helping you get the most from your current marketing team and efforts. We work alongside your staff, and help to develop them and get the most from your school’s digital marketing, social media and digital advertising.

How do you source music?

The copyright to the music that we use is either owned by Company Ten Ltd. or licensed by Company Ten Ltd. for use in that media. We pride ourselves on sourcing and using the best music. If you have a specific musical piece that you want to be included, let us know, we can normally take care of any publishing/licensing/copyright issues, and get the right piece of music for you.

Will we have to sign a contract?

Yes. There are two styles of contract that we use. We do this to make sure that we know exactly what is expected of us and how our success will be measured.

1. ‘One-off’ - these contracts last the duration of a single project, and come with payment terms that include 50% deposit upon booking, the remaining 50% of the fee is due before the final delivery.

2. ‘Marketing Agreement’ - This ongoing contract allows for us to distribute the cost of the agreed services over the entire contract, effectively spreading the cost over the duration of the contract. We include break-clauses in all of our contracts, and a 60 day notice period thereafter.

How does the billing work?

Our billing is really simple, and paying your invoice can be done by Direct Debit, Standing Order, Credit/Debit card online or by phone, or by BACS (please note we do not accept cash or cheque). Our payment terms are generally 14 days. All prices are exclusive of VAT, which is charged where applicable.

For our ongoing contracts, we invoice on the 28th of the month for that month’s completed work.

Our ‘One-off’ contracts work slightly differently. For these, a 50% deposit is required upon signing the contract, the remaining 50% of the fee is due before delivery of the final ‘product’.

Do you support Independent schools?

We sure do. We understand education and we understand marketing. It’s the combination of these areas that makes us different. Our level of experience in these areas is what makes us great. Whether you’re an Independent school, Special school, Maintained, Free school or any other type, if you specialise in education - we know how to help you grow.

Do you do one-off projects?

We do work on one-off projects (a school’s promotional video, or a new website etc.). However, the vast majority of our clients see the financial benefit of working closely with us in an ongoing capacity. We create a time-specific, strategic plan of action, that includes a bespoke selection of our services that’s developed to solve that clients’ problem (ie. low applications/increased PAN etc.). We form lasting relationships with our schools, and our one-off projects usually turn into ongoing working relationships - and we love it!
